Jacob developed a love for music at an early age, learning to play electric guitar when he was just eight years old. A few years later, he was introduced to bluegrass music and was completely captivated and knew he needed an acoustic guitar and soon began to take flatpicking lessons. He was also motivated by spending countless hours studying the techniques of guitar greats Tony Rice and Kenny Smith. In 2012, he was invited to join local bluegrass gospel band, Heritage, where he played guitar and sang for four years. Jacob is now recognized for his dynamic rhythm and impressive lead guitar picking with ClayBank. Also his broad vocal range also contributes to the band's impressive sound. Jacob enjoys fishing and shotgun sports and attends Smethport Baptist Church with his family.
